PSA Nitrogen Generator

PSA oxygen generator plant is fabricated using advanced Pressure Swing Adsorption technology. As is well-known,oxygen constitutes around 20-21% of atmospheric air. PSA oxygen generator used Zeolite molecular sieves to separate the oxygen from the air.Oxygen with high purity is delivered whereas the nitrogen absorbed by the molecular sieves is directed back into the air through the exhaust pipe.

Basic principle: The air is liquefied, and the separation effect is achieved due to the different boiling points of oxygen and nitrogen (argon). The cooling required for air liquefaction is first provided by the compressor to increase the pressure of the air, and then the gas is expanded by the expander to generate most of the cooling required by the air separation equipment. The remaining cooling is provided by the refluxing gas in the fractionation tower.

PSA nitrogen generation adopts carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent whose capacity of adsorbing oxygen is larger than adsorbing nitrogen. The two adsorbers (a&b) alternately adsorbing and regenerating to separate oxygen from nitrogen in air to obtain purified nitrogen by Auto-operated valves controlled by PLC.
