Working Principle:

Based on the principle of pressure swing adsorption, zeolite molecular sieves are used as adsorbents. Due to the selective adsorption characteristics of zeolite molecular sieves, nitrogen is adsorbed in large quantities by the molecular sieves, while oxygen is enriched in the gas phase. Under the action of pressure swing adsorption, nitrogen and oxygen are separated. A dual-tower or multi-tower structure is adopted, with one side adsorbing oxygen and the other side desorbing and regenerating. Through intelligent programs such as PLC to control the opening and closing of pneumatic valves, the two towers or multiple towers alternate in a cycle, continuously producing high-quality oxygen.

PSA NITROGEN GENERATOR

PSA nitrogen generation adopts carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent whose capacity of adsorbing oxygen is larger than adsorbing nitrogen. The two adsorbers (a&b) alternately adsorbing and regenerating to separate oxygen from nitrogen in air to obtain purified nitrogen by Auto-operated valves controlled by PLC.

AIR SEPARATION UNIT

Basic principle: Air is liquefied, and separation is achieved based on the different boiling points of oxygen and nitrogen (argon). The cold energy required for air liquefaction is first provided by compressing the air with a compressor, and then most of the cold energy needed by the air separation equipment is generated by expanding the gas through an expander. 

The remaining cold energy is provided by the reflux gas in the fractionating column. Air separation: In the distillation column, the ascending gas and the descending liquid undergo heat and mass transfer on the trays or packing; the nitrogen content of the ascending gas increases, while the oxygen content of the descending liquid increases.
